DFL governor candidates meeting for forum at BSU
BEMIDJI—Bemidji will be a hotspot for Minnesota politics Monday with Democratic-Farmer-Labor party governor candidates meeting for a question and answer forum.
The event, co-hosted by the Bemidji College Democrats and the Beltrami County DFL, will take place on the BSU campus in the Beaux Arts Ballroom in the Hobson Memorial Union. Doors open at 5 p.m., where candidates will host informational tables and meet with residents. The forum will follow at 6:30 p.m. and another meet and greet session will take place after to wrap the event up.
Candidates attending the forum, moderated by Beltrami County DFL Chair Janelle Wolf, include:
• St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman.
• District 64A Rep. Erin Murphy, St. Paul.
• State Auditor Rebecca Otto, May Township.
• District 61B Rep. Paul Thissen, Minneapolis.
• U.S. Congressman Tim Walz, MN-01.
District 26A Rep. Tina Liebling, Rochester, is also running in the DFL primary for governor, but is unable to attend Monday's event.

Minnesota's primary election will take place Aug. 14 and the general gubernatorial election is Nov. 6.
