Committee seeks musicians for Beltrami County Fair

BEMIDJI—The Beltrami County Fair Music Committee is looking for musicians and bands to perform on the Marilyn Shutter Stage Aug. 8-12 and provide family friendly entertainment. Registration for the not-for-pay 50-minute slots will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 22.

Musicians wanting to register must leave a message for Holly Ewert at (218) 751-9309 with their name, band name, phone number, slot desired and an alternate time slot.

Musicians will perform from noon until 7 p.m. all week and from noon until 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Marilyn Shutter Stage also will feature nightly music jams where musicians can play in a relaxed environment with every skill level.

The Kid's Talent Show will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. the opening night of the fair. Children grades K-12 can perform skits, jokes, dances, songs, or play an instrument for three to five minutes in the non-contest show. Children can register the night of at 5:30 p.m. Parking is free Wednesday evening. Each talent show performer will be rewarded with a small prize.
